Another class, another beautiful batch!

This weekend's class was in wire wrapping. The examples you see are real stones wrapped in either sterling silver or a non-tarnish gold color wire. I believe it's brass.

Believe it or not, the sterling cost more, but I used less of it, so I think I'll charge the same for each piece. $15.00 without neck chain and $20.00 with a matching sterling or gold filled chain.

Two new pieces

I made a beautiful periodot and glass necklace the other day. And I have enough supplies to make one like it, so potentially I have two, selling for $17.00. I got a great price on the large genuine periodot beads.

The other piece is all glass. Some of the beads are striped with extra interest in that they're pyramids, squares and barrel shaped. $15.00 And I have more supplies to make a few more of these too!

La Mirage necklace

This is made with Swarovski crystals and glass "pearls." Price $20.00 for the small (about 18",) and $25.00 for larger necklace. (Approximately 22")

I really enjoy making these, even though I have to use a magnifying glass to see what I'm doing!

Okay, okay...

Someone told me recently that I really should put a price tag on my jewelry. I guess they're right. No one knows how much my supplies cost or how long a piece took to make except me.

However, I've also been told that retail marks up 200%. Yikes! That seems like a lot! I've been selling my jewelry in consignment shops recently. (In fact, everything you see on these pages is now in one of two stores.) I have a third store to handle my mirage necklaces, which I'm making now. I love them. I'll post an example as soon as I get a good picture taken.

I'm so happy with my new hobby. I wish I could wear it all, but I have far too much jewelry and too weak a neck to handle that much bling! LOL
